Dora Ristorante is the latest concept from Chef Accursio Lota and Corinne Goria, the husband-and-wife duo behind Cori Pastificio Trattoria in North Park. Named for Chef Accursio’s grandmother, Dora celebrates coastal Southern Italian cuisine through a contemporary lens, featuring handmade pastas, fresh seafood, and bright Mediterranean ingredients rooted in seasonality.
A nod to the Tony Award-winning La Jolla Playhouse just steps away, the restaurant offers pre- and post-theatre dining experiences and specialty themed cocktails inspired by on-stage productions and the neighborhood's creative spirit.
A true family endeavor, Dora reflects the couple’s shared love for culture, performance, and community as new residents of La Jolla.
Designed in collaboration with Bells + Whistles (Animae, Campfire, Jeune et Jolie) and built by CLTVT with Moniker Building Co. (The Lafayette Hotel), the space brings Southern Italian coastal life to La Jolla with sun-washed tones, hand-cut tilework, and a central bar overlooking the open kitchen.
The 3,800-square-foot restaurant features 2,600 square feet of dining space and a 1,200-square-foot patio, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor flow well suited to both leisurely evenings and timely pre-theatre dining for guests heading to the neighboring La Jolla Playhouse.
