Briercrest Park

Explore Briercrest Park in La Mesa with Drew Hubbell of Hubbell and Hubbell Architects as your guide.

Drew and his father, artist James Hubbell, designed several features in the park including a mosaic butterfly, labyrinth, and a colorful public washroom. The Ilan-Lael Foundation, Hubbell’s non-profit art education foundation will also be on hand with information about upcoming art classes, tours, programs and activities at their Julian property.  Ilan-Lael Foundation mosaic artist Emilie Ledieu who built many of the mosaics in Briercrest Park will host a hands-on mosaic building project with attendees invited to participate.
