Architectural historian Kiley Wallace and historian Ellie McMillan from Landmark Historic Preservation will guide a short walking tour starting at the Lotus Garden Thai restaurant at 4007 Euclid Avenue.

The tour will include a brief early history of the City Heights/East San Diego Community and a look at the award-winning restoration of the Art Deco Silverado ballroom. Learn more about the rare architectural style of the Egyptian Garage and visit the Tower Bar, a neighborhood icon. The tour will include information about the nearby Islenair Historic District, to set the stage for a self-guided tour. Street parking is available.
